MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor
“My life has been transformed… and your role in that has been profound.” — Client
I’m Gill Jackman, and I’ve been working as a counsellor and supervising other counsellors for twenty years. I have a practice two miles from Bristol Airport in the Chew Valley.
People come for counselling with many different issues, but usually for the same reason: to get some help with their distress and/or confusion. Since 1993, I’ve been working in depth with people struggling with bereavement, illness, marital problems, depression and past abuse, to name but a few.
My fees are on a sliding scale to reflect income. If you think you have reason to pay less than the full rate, please bring this up for discussion at the first session.
I understand that when you’re not feeling your best, choosing a counsellor can be very difficult. Here on my website, I’m very keen to let people know, specifically, what questions to ask in their search as well as offer a perspective on counselling historically. I also set out my own qualifications, describe the different types of counselling I offer, and what you can expect.
Whether you choose to see me or not, I hope you find this website helpful.
